Transcription: Columbus's second expedition reaches Hispaniola. Instead of the Spaniards they left behind and stores of gold, they find nothing. The settlement is gone. The Navidad colonists, bored and failing to find gold, had plundered and raped. The Indians grew tired of the Spaniards' abuse and decided to rid the island of the strange bearded white men. No one was spared.
